What is the ACES interface process?

ACES interfaces with other agencies to verify client data, send client data, and exchange client information regarding eligibility for program benefits. These interfaces are done through files or tapes and are categorized into four types:

  • Inbound Interface
  • Outbound Interface
  • Exchange - Two way, inbound and outbound
  • Routine - Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Yearly

When do the interfaces run?

Each of the ACES interfaces has a separate schedule for processing. The processing is performed daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, at application and at eligibility review depending on the specific interface schedule.

What happens when an interface returns data for a client?

When an interface returns data for a client which differs from ACES data an alert/tickle notifies the user to review and take actions on a case. In some instances ACES may AUTO update the client's record as appropriate.
