What do I need to know before accessing State On-Line Query (SOLQ) Search?

Accessing SOLQ Search allows ACES users to inquire on client data maintained by the Social Security Administration (SSA).

All SOLQ Search inquiries made by users are monitored. The following edit displays when workers inquire into BENDEX, SDX, ES and UC areas: YOU ARE BEING AUDITED FOR ACCESSING SSN RELATED DATA.

Who can inquire on client or system information? 

Anyone with access to ACES can view client information. 

ACES.online inquiry users need a security enhancement in order to view some interface data, such as BENDEX and SDX. For more information users need to contact their security monitor, see ACES Security Monitor List.

How do I access State On-Line Query (SOLQ) Search in ACES.online?

To access State On-Line Query (SOLQ) Search from ACES.online:

  1. Click the SOLQ Search link from the Other Search Links section on the Welcome back page.
  2. On the SOLQ Search Criteria page complete the following fields:
  • SSN field - Enter the [client's Social Security number].
    • You can also search by entering a claim number in the Claim Number field.
  • Name field - Enter the [client's name first, middle initial and last].
  • Date of Birth field - Enter the [date of birth] for the client.
  • Sex field - Select Female (F) or Male (M) from the drop down menu.
  • Request Reason field - If needed, change the reason from the drop down menu.
  1. Click the Search button to access SOLQ information, or click the Reset button to clear data from the page.

Where can I access State On-Line Query (SOLQ) Search in ACES 3G?

You can assess State On-Line Query (SOLQ) Search in ACES 3G from the Cross Matches section on the Income Summary and Unearned Income pages.

How do I access State On-Line Query (SOLQ) Search in ACES 3G?

To access SOLQ Search from the ACES 3G Unearned Income Cross Matches section on the Income Summary or Unearned Income page take the following steps:

  1. Click the SOLQ Search link in the Unearned Income Cross Matches section.
  2. On the Select Client for SOLQ Search pop up window click the radio button next to the client name and click the Continue button.
  • To enter the search information manually click the radio button next to I will manually enter client for SOLQ search.
  1. The system auto populates the client information from the Client Details page. 
  2. Click the Search button. 
  3. From the State On-line Query: General Information page, click on either SSA Information or SSI Information link to view query.
  4. When finished click the Close button. 

What information is automatically populated when I access State On-Line Query (SOLQ)?

The following information is automatically populated on the SOLQ Search Criteria page when accessed from SOLQ Search on the Welcome back page in ACES.online.

  • Request Reason
  • Name of Requestor 
  • Requestor Phone
  • Request Description

The following information is automatically populated on the SOLQ Search Criteria page when accessed from the Income Summary or Unearned Income page in ACES 3G: 

  • SSN or Claim Number
  • Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Sex
  • Request Reason
  • Name of Requestor
  • Requestor Phone
  • Request Description 

What information is available in State On-Line Query (SOLQ)?

Depending on the type of benefit the client receives the system provides the worker with Social Security number (SSN) verification, Social Security Administration (SSA) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) information. 

The State On-Line Query: General Information page displays: 

  • Client SSN verification information.

The SSA Information page displays: 

  • General Information section - Displays the client's demographic information and disability onset date.
  • Schedule Pay section - SSA payment status and information.
  • Medicare Insurance section - Displays information about the client's Part A and Part B coverage. 
  • Monthly Benefit Credited section - Displays the SSA payment history.
  • Cross - Reference account numbers section - Other cross-referenced benefit types.

The SSI Information page displays: 

  • General Information section - Displays SSI demographics and SSI benefit payment information.
  • Payments section - Displays the SSI payment history for current and historical months.
  • Other Income Sources section - Displays other income sources SSA has on file for the client.
  • Unearned Income section - Displays unearned income information SSA has on file.
  • Resources section - Lists other assets SSA has on file.

How do I access State Online Query (SOLQ)?

State Online Query (SOLQ) can be accessed from the following locations in ACES Mainframe:

  • DEM1DEM2 or UNER screens using <F15>.
  • SDX1SDX2BEN1BENI or BEN2 screens using <F17>.
  • On the WMEN by selecting Option Y - State On-Line Query.
    • Once on the YMEN screen select Option A - State On-Line Query.
  • On the LMEN by selecting Option O - State On-Line Query

What information is automatically populated when I access State On-Line Query (SOLQ)?

ACES automatically populates the following worker information on the SOLQ screen:

  • Request Reason field - the system defaults to [E] - Eligibility Inquiry.
    • You can also select [A] - Alien Inquiry or [C] - Congressional Inquiry.
  • Name of Requestor field - [worker’s name] that is performing the search.
  • Telephone Number of Requestor field - ACES enters the [worker’s phone number] that is on the security profile.

ACES auto-populates the following client information based on how SOLQ is accessed:

  • Client’s name
  • Date of birth
  • Gender
  • The SSN if SOLQ is accessed from the DEM1DEM2SDX1 or SDX2 screen.
  • The SSN claim number from the BENDEX claim number if SOLQ is accessed from BEN1 screen.
  • The SSN claim number for the first unearned income type code SB, SC, SD, SS, SI or SW if SOLQ is accessed from the UNER screen.
    • If none of these income types are listed on the UNER screen, ACES uses the client’s SSN.

When accessing SOLQ from YMEN or LMEN screen, manually enter client data.

What information is available in State On-Line Query (SOLQ)?

Client Social Security Number (SSN) verification information is contained on the SSNV screen which is the first screen to display in SOLQ. Screens in SOLQ flow from the SSNV screen forward, depending on the type of benefit the client receives. If the client is receiving only Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits, the SSA1SSA2, and SSA3 screens may not display.

Social Security Administration (SSA) demographic and benefit payment information display on the SSA1 screen.

Client Buy-In and Health Insurance information display on the SSA2 screen.

Other cross-referenced benefit types and amounts display on the SSA3 screen.

SSI demographic and benefit payment status display on the SSI1 screen.

SSI benefit payment information displays on the SSI2 screen.

SSI over/under payment status, Food Stamp status and unearned income information display on the SSI3 screen.
