Certification for Memory Care Services

The department is considering amending and adding sections in Chapter 388-78A WAC related to Engrossed Second Substitute Senate Bill 5337 which establishes a certification for Assisted Living Facilities operating as a memory care facility or a memory care unit. The rule writing will address the application process for certification, physical environment requirements, a separate disclosure for staff levels, care and services requirements, disaster preparedness, and enforcement action for operating without a certification 

DSHS is conducting rulemaking which may amend the following WAC chapters:
