Maple Lane Campus - Visitor Information

General information for visitors

Visits and communication with family members and other visitors are encouraged, as they play an important role in treatment. Each unit has its own schedule of visitation hours for residents. Please contact each unit to arrange a visit and learn about any other restrictions on resident visits.

  • Baker Unit – visitations will be offered anytime between 1 and 4 p.m.
  • Columbia or Cascade Unit – visitations will be offered anytime between 9 and 11 a.m.
  • Note – for residents at Baker, Columbia, and Cascade Units, visitations are also offered between 6 and 8 p.m. on a first come, first served basis.
  • Oak Unit – visitations are offered outside of active treatment time and meal times. Please contact the Oak Unit social worker to schedule a visit.

Unit phone numbers:

  • Baker Unit – (360) 664-4668
  • Cascade Unit - (360) 664-4647
  • Columbia Unit – (564) 464-5438

To schedule a visit, the resident will need to have a signed release of information for the visitor. When scheduling a visit, it is imperative to communicate with the resident’s social worker to ensure that the visit is on the calendar and needed paperwork is completed. If you are unsure of the resident’s social worker, contact the unit and they will be able to assist you.

BHTC staff will not release any health-related information during visits. Requests for such information must be submitted in written form for release of protected health information.

If you are unable to come in person to visit with a resident, please contact the assigned social worker about arranging a virtual visit over Microsoft Teams. Virtual visits can be arranged seven days a week.

General rules for personal visits include:

  • All personal visits must be scheduled in advance. Personal visits will be scheduled based on calendar availability.
  • If you are traveling from out of state, requesting a meeting with the resident’s treatment team, or will have a visitor who is under 18 years old, please communicate with the resident’s social worker so adjustments to your visit can be made.
  • Professional visitors may visit their clients at the BHTC daily between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. Professional visitors are not required to schedule their visit in advance, as long as their visit falls within the professional visitation timeframe.
  • All visitors who visit residents in a personal capacity require screening prior to their first visit. Some professional visitors will also require screening.
  • Visitors may not bring food or drink. There are limited exceptions for celebrating residents’ birthdays, and for members of the clergy or tribal elders. Please speak to unit staff when planning your visit about policies regarding these exceptions.

Visitor Arrival

  • Visitors must present a valid form of government-issued photo identification. Professional visitors will be asked to show their professional identification, if available.
  • Personal visitors may not carry cell phones or any equipment capable of photographing or producing audio or video recordings.
  • Visitors are expected to follow all visitation rules, including any state or county health screening requirements, and contraband policy.
