Register as a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC)
Any entity operating as a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in Washington State must be registered by the state and listed on the department’s CCRC registry. Beginning July 1, 2017, an entity that is not registered with the department may not represent itself, or refer to itself in advertising and marketing materials as a “registered continuing care retirement community” or continuing care retirement community as defined in Chapter 18.390 RCW.
To register with the department:
- Complete the CCRC Registry Application (DSHS 14-547)
- Make checks payable to Washington State Treasurer
- Mail complete application to:

Olympia, WA 98504-5600 - The department shall issue the registration within sixty days of the receipt of the complete application, payment of fees, submission of disclosures, residency agreements, and the attestation.
To renew registrations with the department:
- Complete CCRC Addendum stating that nothing other than the financials have changed. If anything other than the financials have changed, the CCRC must submit a new complete registry application.
- Make checks payable to Washington State Treasurer.
- Mail addendum, new financials dated within 18 months of June 30, 2019 to:

Olympia, WA 98504-5600 - The department will issue the renewed registration within sixty days of the receipt of either the new complete registration or the addendum and financials only.
