How to Hire Sign Language Interpreter(s)

Department of Enterprise Services and the Office of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing have entered into a cooperative purchase agreement to provide statewide Sign Language Interpreter Services.

If this is your first time making a Sign Language interpreter request, we recommend you take this training: Training Link

ODHH offers an online interpreter scheduling system that allows data collection on fill rates and contract compliance monitoring. In order to use this online system, you must set up an account.

To find vendors and their contracts, amendments and current rates, please go to the DES Search Contracts page.  Type in one of these contract numbers: 03919, 02120

ODHH also has direct DSHS statewide contracts available for Emergency or Crucial Events - in person only. The request form for these: https://fortress.wa.gov/dshs/odhhapps/Interpreters/Service/DSHSRequest.aspx

There are slightly different terms and conditions and rates for the DSHS contracts. Please go to the Interpreter Rates Explained page for more information.
