Annually, the Department of Social and Health Services provides services for 2.1 million people -- one-third of the state's population. Profiles of clients who received these services in State Fiscal Year 2007 are presented here, beginning with department-wide highlights then followed by descriptions of services provided by each of the department's nine major programs.
