Verification is the proof we need to decide if you are eligible for benefits.
We will tell you what we need proof of, but the type of verification you provide is up to you. For example, if we needed proof of who you are, you could provide us a driver's license, a birth certificate, or a passport.
Any of these items would prove to us who you are. Common things we need to verify are:
- Identity
- Citizenship
- Who lives in your home
- Household income
- Child care costs
- Disability
- Shelter Costs
- Specific work and/or school schedules
- Things you own, such bank accounts, homes, property and vehicles
Be sure you understand what you need to verify. If you have questions or need help, please ask. If the only verification you can get costs money, we will pay for it.
