Other Ways to Pay Child Support

Pay online

Paying online is the fastest, most efficient way to pay your child support. Go to Secure Access Washington to create an online account. After you’ve finished creating your account, choose DCS Online from the list of services and follow the instructions to enter your checking or savings account information and schedule your payments. Note: Bank account verification takes seven days.

Automatically pay from your bank account

You can authorize DCS to deduct payments from your checking or savings account automatically every month on the day of your choosing. To request the authorization form, call 800-468-7422 or download it here. Note: There is less flexibility to make changes with this option than through DCS Online.

Pay by check or money order

You can purchase a money order at post offices, banks and retail outlets. Fees typically range from $1 to $5, depending on the retailer and the amount. Include your DCS account number on your check or money order, and mail it to Washington State Registry, P.O. Box 45868, Olympia, WA 98504-5868.

Pay with cash

You can make a cash payment at retailers that offer MoneyGram. For a list of participating retailers, click here. A fee will apply. Use “Washington Child Support” for the biller name and 14684 for the code. Have your DCS account number and Social Security number available.

Pay through a third-party vendor

DCS works with vendors to provide additional ways for you to pay online or from your phone. It’s up to you to verify payment methods, fees and limits. Processing time is typically three to five days to receive credit for the payment. Have your DCS account number and Social Security number ready when you contact these vendors, and be sure to keep your receipt.
